How it's calculated
Each country's minimum wage comes from its official source: GOV.UK, gov.ie, the German Mindestlohn regulation, Service-Public.fr, Rijksoverheid, the BOE, the Fair Work Commission, Employment New Zealand, the Government of Canada and the US Department of Labor. The calculator turns the hourly rate into weekly, monthly and annual pay for the hours you work.GOV.UK
The formula
Weekly pay = hourly rate × hours a week
Annual pay = weekly pay × 52, and monthly pay = annual pay ÷ 12
For Spain, where the law sets a monthly amount: annual pay = €1,221 × 14 × hours ÷ 40.
